Katie Miller Busch, GRP®, SHRM-SCP - Project Principal (will have contractual authority over the project). The founder of HRCC, Katie Busch offers over 30 years of progressive compensation experience having worked in various industries, including high-tech, pharmaceuticals, retail, manufacturing, construction, and logistics solutions. She is the lead compensation consultant, pay plan developer and formal presenter on all projects.
Katie is an accomplished HR professional and trusted leader with proven success in motivating individuals to excel while promoting teamwork. She developed a Job Mapping and Market Pricing Tool, implemented new performance management processes and programs driving employee pay-for-performance, and administered annual merit and bonus payouts, while educating managers on differentiating pay based on performance.
Katie has a bachelor’s degree in international business from Florida Atlantic University. She holds the Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) certification from WorldatWork and is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Katie was a board member for the South Florida Compensation and Benefits Association (SFCB) from 2007 – 2016 and served as their President in 2011 and 2012. She also maintains membership with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Public Sector Human Resources Association (PSHRA), and WorldatWork. Katie was an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University (from 2013 to 2022), teaching classes on job evaluation and pay plan design. Recent speaking engagements include the HR Florida Annual Conference in August 2024 (3-hour workshop: Compensation Planning and concurrent speaker: Creating a Compensation Foundation) and in August 2025 (1-hour workshop: Using Market, Pay and Performance Data to Help Make Business Decisions).
